Smokehouse Lofts Highlighted in Report on Shockoe Slip Development

Our recently-completed Smokehouse Lofts project was highlighted as one of the important developments in Shockoe Slip during 2009.

The report highlights:

More than $860 million of residential and commercial development was completed or underway in 2009; $630 million of that was actually completed in 2009. Highlights include: MeadWestvaco (MWV) moving into their new world headquarters on the Riverfront, the grand opening of Richmond CenterStage, the transformation of the Miller & Rhoads Department Store Building into the Hilton Garden Inn and Miller and Rhoads Condos, the completion of the first phase of the Downtown portion of the Virginia Capital rails, and lofts galore. Not bad, in one of the toughest economies since the depression.

You can read the full report here…it’s a big file, so be patient when loading…our project is mentiond on page 15.
